New Order have announced Four at the Fillmore, a run of four shows at Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. Performance dates will be Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14th and 15th and Friday and Saturday, January 17th and 18th.

Rising from the ashes of the legendary British band Joy Division, New Order triumphed over tragedy to emerge as one of the most influential and acclaimed bands of the 1980s.  While their debut album Movement was shadowed by the legacy of Joy Division, going forward the band began to combine their original post-punk sound with influences from New York’s club scene. The result was their brilliant sophomore album Power, Corruption & Lies released in 1983, the same year their single “Blue Monday”, which has since become the best-selling 12-inch single of all time, moving over three million copies worldwide.

Throughout the late 80s New Order remained as popular as ever, releasing a string of albums. A 2011 reunion saw them return and tour the world, taking to the stage alongside Blur and the Specials at London’s Hyde Park for a spectacular closing concert for the 2012 Olympics, and releasing Lost Sirens at the end of the year.

In 2015, the band released their critically acclaimed tenth studio album Music Complete. The record stormed the album charts, coming in at Number 2, and features guest vocals from Iggy Pop, Brandon Flowers and Elly Jackson of La Roux.  On the live circuit they continue to play critically acclaimed sell out tours in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.

The confirmation of the Miami dates follows the band’s recent announcement of a new live album to be released on July 12. ∑(No,12k,Lg,17Mif) New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.. was recorded in July 2017 during the Manchester International Festival when New Order returned to the Old Granada Studios stage where Joy Division made their television debut on Tony Wilson’s So It Goes program in 1978. Featuring collaborations with visual artist Liam Gillick, composer-arranger Joe Duddell, and a 12-strong synthesizer orchestra, ∑(No,12k,Lg,17Mif) New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.. is a distinctive addition to New Order’s storied history.
